Sweeper to Street Washer Conversion

Sweeper to Street Washer Conversion

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there has been an increase in demand for sanitizing the streets. Because of this, we will enable customers to convert their Johnston VT street sweeper into a dedicated street cleaner.

This will be achieved by fitting a water filter into the hopper floor so that can be filled with water. This increases the water carrying capacity from 1572 litres to approximately 4000 litres. The sweeper then can be used to pressure wash pretty much anywhere the machine can fit. The full width spraybars enable roads to be washed and then the machines hand lance enables the operator to wash pavements, street furniture, gates, walkways and anything else you could think of.

The cold-water washing pressure is 100 bar and the 15m long hose reel allows remote areas to be washed. Due to the larger the water capacity the on station time increases from 50 minutes to 125 minutes. Once the filter is removed and the bung refitted the sweeper can return to service as a sweeper again.
